Lisa Marwaha, Au.D.
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by hearing loss and the testing process. My experience of having my hearing tested as a young child led me to a career in Audiology. For the past 25 years, I have been committed to working with those who struggle with hearing loss, but want to function in a hearing world.
I am extremely grateful for the breadth of opportunities I’ve had as an audiologist. Helping develop and launch a cochlear implant program for Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento was especially rewarding. It was through that experience that I was introduced to CCHAT, where I had the pleasure of working for five years.
It has been great to be part of the education process with CCHAT children, families and staff. Educating families about hearing technology and supporting them as they navigate a hearing loss diagnosis with their child is my passion. I know that by accessing sound with hearing technology, children who are deaf and hard of hearing can develop speech and language.
To be a part of this superior environment as a professional and now as a member of the Governing Board is truly an honor. CCHAT’s Board is committed to growth so that we can provide the families in our community the services necessary for those families that want their child with hearing loss to function in a hearing world.
