I am so proud to be part of the CCHAT Center family! My first experience with hearing loss was when I met my new husband’s young cousin. She was born with severe hearing loss and was not diagnosed and implanted until she was almost 3 years old. She missed critical developmental milestones due to her undiagnosed hearing loss and has continued to struggle academically and socially throughout her teenage years. I have witnessed how important it is for children to receive early intervention. Educating others about early intervention for children with hearing loss has now become a passion for me.
When my husband and I moved from the East Coast to Sacramento, we discovered the CCHAT Center and knew we had to get involved. We continue to see the services that the staff provides transform these children into confident individuals ready to take on the world. They are able to find their voices and reach their full potential.
In addition to serving on the CCHAT Board, I spend my free time with my incredible husband, Steve, and our four beautiful girls - Cadence, Cece, Cora and Cambrie. I have my master's degree in clinical psychology from Rutgers University and a background in nonprofit development, which I hope to use to help the CCHAT Center thrive. It is truly an honor to serve on the board with others who see value in this amazing organization and have a passion to see it flourish.
