I was born with a severe hearing loss in both ears that was not diagnosed until I was in Kindergarten. I was lucky to have parents who advocated for me and supportive teachers, but I know firsthand that the services CCHAT provides are essential to giving kids the leg up they need to succeed in mainstream school and in life! Since becoming involved with CCHAT, I have been amazed by everything they do to help diagnose hearing loss early, connect families to resources, and provide an exciting and transformative learning environment. I wish I had access to the incredible services this organization provides when I was a kid!
I have a Master of Public Health from George Washington University and I am a health policy consultant at Aurrera Health Group working on increasing access to health care for underserved populations. In my free time you can usually find me with my family and our dogs, gardening, or exploring the outdoors!
